National Crisis Hotline

You can call, text, or chat 988 to reach the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline—free, confidential support available 24/7 for anyone in emotional distress.


Utah Crisis Line

The Utah Crisis Line offers free mental health crisis intervention services 24-7. Certified crisis workers are available to offer support and assistance for mental health issues.


The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project offers 24/7, free, and confidential support for LGBTQIA+ youth in crisis. You can call 1-866-488-7386, text ‘START’ to 678678, or chat online with a trained counselor at thetrevorproject.org.

Depression

As of 2023, nearly 29% of U.S. adults report having been diagnosed with depression at some point in their lives, with 17.8% currently experiencing or being treated for it. Additionally, approximately 8.3% of adults had at least one major depressive episode in 2021, with higher rates observed among women and young adults aged 18–25.

Anxiety

An estimated 19.1% of U.S. adults experienced an anxiety disorder in the past year, with higher rates among women (23.4%) compared to men (14.3%). Over their lifetime, approximately 31.1% of adults in the U.S. will experience an anxiety disorder.

Trauma & PTSD

Approximately 6% of U.S. adults will experience PTSD at some point in their lives, with about 3.6% affected in any given year. Women are more than twice as likely as men to develop PTSD, often due to differences in the types of trauma experienced.
